Brazil tells a story where dreams and escapism are essential for survival and sanity amidst a totalitarian existence. Real and unreal worlds meld together in a kaleidoscopic vision that comments on the nature of technology, faceless bureaucracy and the ambivalence of a wealthy class who seem blissfully unaware of the chaotic world surrounding them.
